eShare kickstarts autumn events programme with South African double-header

During the summer months the eShare events team can put away its exhibition stand and collateral and take a well-earned rest from attending conferences. Now September is here though, the events programme is about to begin again and we are delighted to get things started with two fascinating looking events in South Africa.

First up is the Premier Corporate Governance Conference, the ninth such event held by Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa. Taking place on 18 and 19 September at the Montecasino in Johannesburg, the event will focus on best practice in corporate governance including which tools and strategies are best deployed by chartered secretaries.

Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa is the professional institute for the enabling of corporate governance and company secretaryship, and South Africa’s leading commentator on corporate governance. It provides intellectual property, education and support for governance professionals and that’s why we are planning to demonstrate all three of our main products at the event.

Helping chartered secretaries

The role of the chartered secretary (or company secretary in the UK) is one that grows ever harder. Earlier this year we published a white paper ‘Under pressure: the company secretary and the growing need for effective governance’ that looked at some of the challenges faced by company secretaries. It’s a demanding role that often holds overall responsibility for the organisation’s governance and corporate culture.

Such individuals need all the help they can get and we have a powerful selection of products designed to help improve governance and make the lives of chartered secretaries that bit easier. We’ll be demonstrating our online board portal BoardPacks, meeting management tool MeetingSquared and our new entity management software, EntitySquared at the Premier Corporate Governance Conference, and we’d be only too happy to talk to you about they could help your organisation.

EBnet Technology Conference

Our second South African event is the EBnet Technology Conference 2017, which takes place on 18 September at Sandton’s The Maslow. EBnet is South Africa’s only independent employee benefits knowledge portal and the event is all about using technology to gain better business advantage.

That’s what we do better than anyone else in our market, and we will be sharing some of our most recent Southern African case studies, including the Zambia Public Service Pensions Fund. BoardPacks has made a tremendous impact there, streamlining the board meeting process and saving valuable man hours when preparing for such meetings, as well as affecting a huge improvement in the security around confidential board pack content.
